[opensuse] google music manager
Hi When starting gmm I get a login window OK but then it gives a message: Couldn't connect to Google Play Check your Internet connection and try again The only other option is a Retry button which doesn't help much as I get the same error. Launching at the cli doesn't give any messages. I can upload files and work normally in a brower. Can anyone help? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

In the task bar right click the Music Manager Icon and select diagnostics. Music Manager is meant to run in the task bar, with an icon that looks like headphones. Right Click Music manager icon Click options Select Advanced tab Make sure you are logged in correctly. Check Firewall. Next do a netstat: (as root)
netstat -anp |grep -i google
You should see something like the following if Mucic Manager connects properly:

I don't think so.
You may have to generate a custom application password, although with the latest version of music Manager I did not have to do that, it requested an authentication token from my Google authenticator app on my phone. I can upload OK on a phone.

Sounds like a reboot or log out and log in again might be in order. If you can't right click the Music Manager icon and get a pop-up-menu then it is not running properly. Hi I don't think we have the same version: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-play-music/icppfcnhkcmnfdhfhphakoifcfokfdhg?hl=en-GB&utm_source=chrome-ntp-launcher add to chrome > add to desktop I understand it works only with chrome (?) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

You should set your music upload directory explicitly, Probably to /home/br/Music rather than taking the default. Other than that, your log looks NOTHING like mine.

It seems that Yast doesn't update this app. Installing from your link (thanks) made it work again, but now it appears in red in Yast Software Manager, as does chrome which also doesn't update properly. You can add the official Google repository to yast. But i don't always chase repositories of non opensuse origin, preferring to update those things myself as needed.
