Due to this and other issues with 12.1, I'm beginning to get the impression someone gets a "brilliant" idea, puts it in the distro and claims the resulting failures are someone else's problem. Any well-written program will have a config option for its temp directory, and /var/tmp is there for exactly this purpose.

But they've been doing that for a long time. Try putting a wheel from a Ford car on a GM car. Heck, after a few years and new model releases GM cars of the same model are incompatible with the same line. I know, I have one!The same with other badges friends and relatives have. That's how these people do business - "New and Improved", and after a point you can't simply retrofit, you have to junk the old and buy whole new. -- Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction. --Blaise Pascal (Pensees, 1670) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

[We are in the wrong list] The car maker giving cars away is not exact, because a proportion of those getting the cars also work in the making. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. Imagine GM and toyota doing that, and having to maintain those cars for free for 2 years and listen a lot of bullcrap from people who drive them. :-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
