[opensuse] Name resolution from Cisco E4200
I am running openSuse 3.2. I have a Cisco E4200 which is running dhcp. In its tables it lists the names and ip addresses of all of the assigned computers so assigned. Is there a way for me to get these name to ip address translations so that I can use them setting up NFS? I am now trying to set up NFS and would prefer to get away from using the old static addresses. Are you running a dhcp server on the router? Here's info on configuring a dhcp server on IOS. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
Yes, I am running a dhcp server on the router. I was hoping the tables would be accessible from an external source. Don On 02/25/15 14:03, James Knott wrote:

Sorry, I was thinking dhcp, when I should have been thinking dns. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/ip/domain-name-system-dns/24182-re... https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/servlet/JiveServlet/previewBody/6248-102-1... On 02/25/2015 04:08 PM, don fisher wrote:
