a) Start Firefox from an xterm/konsole/gnome-terminal (etc.). Mail what _errors_ you get. Or look in your X log. As a wild guess I'd say there's an incompatible addon/extension that causes the crash. So, try with a pristine user or rename your ~/.mozilla (or just a subdir of that, don't know what directory the current FF uses). Tell, what extensions/addons you have installed. b) you might consider using Seamonkey (as you use both Firefox and Thunderbird), they share a lot of code. c) FYI, there is also a german mailing list -dnh -- Now the world has gone to bed, | Now I lay me down to sleep, Darkness won't engulf my head, | Try to count electric sheep, I can see by infrared, | Sweet dream wishes you can keep, How I hate the night. | How I hate the night. -- Marvin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

What version of suse are you using? I have a similar problem with firefox 3.5.9 on suse 11.0. It comes up looking ok. I can click on a link a couple or three times. Then it does nothing. I can switch tabs, but can't get it to go to any links. When I close firefox, it asks me if I want to save the tabs. I check "do not show this message again" and click on quit. When I bring it up again, I get the "this is embarrassing" message. I click on new session and the whole thing repeats, even asking me again if I want to save the tabs. -- Bob -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
