[opensuse] Where are the Overman79 packages?
Hi People! I tried to install the bumblebee system to my laptop, wha worked without any problem in the past. I have followed the instruction from smithfarm the brain: http://smithfarm-thebrain.blogspot.co.at/2013/10/opensuse-131-nvidia-optimus... But when i try to install the packages: zypper in dkms dkms-nvidia dkms-bbswitch bumblebee primus x11-video-nvidia the packages are not found in the repo. Does anyone know where the packages have gone? Or is there an alternative repo to install the stuff with regard to bumblebee? My system: Opensuse 13.1 X86_64 Kernel 3.11

My system: Opensuse 13.1 X86_64 Kernel 3.11
I have those packages from Overman79:laptop which now contains no packages: dkms-nvidia 331.49 bumblebee 3.2.1 primus 20131226 x11-video-nvidia 331.49 VirtualGL 2.3.3 dkms-bbswitch 0.8 It works fine. I checked, which repositories contain those packages and I found home:Knurpht:dkms-nvidia-bumblebee home:giordanoboschetti:system home:seoirse home:volnes88 Only the first one contains all needed packages. But all of them expand packages from nowadays empty Overman79's repository, so that they are useless... :-( Most of needed packages (except the nVidia driver available from home:Bumblebee-Project:nVidia), but in usually little bit older versions, contains repository home:sumski:bumblebee Some are also in home:elchaschab and home:kamforbb:laptop but as those two contain only one package, they are not, IMHO, useful at all... home:sumski:bumblebee could be fine, I think. There is also X11:Bumblebee containing all needed packages. Well, I'm not absolutely sure, as it uses little bit different naming scheme than the Overman79's repo was. If not, I'd combine it with home:Bumblebee- Project:nVidia:latest and/or home:Bumblebee-Project:Bumblebee It should work. Now, I'm thinking if to try to switch the repos and hope it keeps working... :-/ I have following system (openSUSE 13.1, 64 b): $ hwinfo --gfxcard 09: PCI 02.0: 0300 VGA compatible controller (VGA) [Created at pci.319] Unique ID: _Znp.aiz05nOb+MD SysFS ID: /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:02.0 SysFS BusID: 0000:00:02.0 Hardware Class: graphics card Model: "Intel VGA compatible controller" Vendor: pci 0x8086 "Intel Corporation" Device: pci 0x0166 SubVendor: pci 0x103c "Hewlett-Packard Company" SubDevice: pci 0x181b Revision: 0x09 Driver: "i915" Driver Modules: "drm" Memory Range: 0xd4000000-0xd43fffff (rw,non-prefetchable) Memory Range: 0xc0000000-0xcfffffff (ro,non-prefetchable) I/O Ports: 0x5000-0x503f (rw) IRQ: 47 (14153 events) Module Alias: "pci:v00008086d00000166sv0000103Csd0000181Bbc03sc00i00" Driver Info #0: Driver Status: i915 is active Driver Activation Cmd: "modprobe i915" Config Status: cfg=no, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown 22: PCI 100.0: 0300 VGA compatible controller (VGA) [Created at pci.319] Unique ID: VCu0.HMJ1Qe335CE Parent ID: vSkL.JSpaHJKzR_C SysFS ID: /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:01.0/0000:01:00.0 SysFS BusID: 0000:01:00.0 Hardware Class: graphics card Model: "nVidia VGA compatible controller" Vendor: pci 0x10de "nVidia Corporation" Device: pci 0x0de9 SubVendor: pci 0x103c "Hewlett-Packard Company" SubDevice: pci 0x181b Revision: 0xff Memory Range: 0xd2000000-0xd2ffffff (rw,non-prefetchable) Memory Range: 0xa0000000-0xafffffff (ro,non-prefetchable) Memory Range: 0xb0000000-0xb1ffffff (ro,non-prefetchable) I/O Ports: 0x4000-0x4fff (rw) Memory Range: 0xb2000000-0xb207ffff (ro,non-prefetchable) IRQ: 16 (443000 events) Module Alias: "pci:v000010DEd00000DE9sv0000103Csd0000181Bbc03sc00i00" Driver Info #0: Driver Status: nvidiafb is not active Driver Activation Cmd: "modprobe nvidiafb" Driver Info #1: Driver Status: nouveau is not active Driver Activation Cmd: "modprobe nouveau" Driver Info #2: Driver Status: nvidia is not active Driver Activation Cmd: "modprobe nvidia" Config Status: cfg=new, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown Attached to: #8 (PCI bridge) Primary display adapter: #9 $ lspci | grep VGA 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09) 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GF108M [GeForce GT 630M] (rev ff) I hope it helps.
