I ranted on the list about the state of affairs with sync'ing a Pilot with Evolution. Jpilot had also been broken for me, as it would not show text in many of my memos. I found a fix for this. It turns out that I merely needed to change the "Character Set" in the "Preferences" to "Host UTF-8 <-> Palm Windows 1252". In fact, Jpilot is now showing me the bullets I like to use in memos correctly for the very first time. I guess some of us are just slow. That's weird. Jpilot worked for me out of the box. Evolution is a different story, though. It's broken. Preston
