kvpnc works now. I'm working on getting knetworkmanager to support VPNC but am still ironing out the kinks. nm-applet should work on GNOME. You can use vpnc for many Cisco VPN connections. You can even have NAT-T with it. However if you wish to use Cisco's proprietary TPC encapsulation you will need Cisco's closed source vpnclient. vpnc works for me, but with a lot of strange issues: - I have to run it twice: the first must be interrupted, then the second call works -I had to set Xauth username and Xauth password identical to IPSec ID and IPSec secret -vpnc disconnects often, regardless of my use of the connection -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi Chuck, I am using vpnc with the RSA tokens. I am not sure if you have the hardware one or the software one. If you want to have a graphical frontend for it, then you could use kvpnc. I have tried to work with the CISCO vpn client, but that requires compiling the kernel module, which requires the kernel-source, etc. Much easier to just install vpnc and start working :-) Regards Raymond -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
