Hi all, I have a problem when i connect on my isdn ippp0 and ifup my eth0. Messages stop and the connection becomes active. Please help me out someone cause im really getting frustrated with it now. It's got nothing to do with the other pc on the network cause when i shutdown it down it same crap happens. P.S. Is there another log where i can get some more info about the connection? I've been trying to get my linux router to connect with "isdnctrl dial ippp0" and all i get is "connected to 011xxxxxxx' and then in 6-7 seconds it dosconnects again. Now im suspecting this isdn modem is faulty but where can i check if it connected at all or it was just trying to dial before i go and buy a new modem. Thanx a lot! Marko

Hi Yes 155.239.84.218 is my current address. When i say everything works i mean i can use my ippp0 connection again when eth0 is down, if eth0 is up i cant and i get those messages. I know what martian sources are but as you can see here these arent impossible addresses. ;) So you can understand why i spent 2 hrs trying to fix it and got nowhere. eth0 is set to internal zone and ippp0 to external. So im gonna go get a beer now and relax bfore i break the PC and in the meanwhile any ideas are welcome. Below is more info. Tnx again. Marco, It looks like you default route is to 192.168.1.1 via eth0 ippp0 works only for 155.239.85.254 (and see the mask of /32) -- Marek Chlopek

so you want to use either isdn or ethernet, right? then set profiles via scpm and start via lilo adding PROFILE=... -- Marek Chlopek
