Yast2's Package Manager won't start
System details: * SuSE 9.1 is my base installation but I have FTP URLs for 9.2 and 9.3 set up as Yast installation sources so I guess I'm actually running a mix of versions :) * Anything else that would be helpful? A few days ago I installed an update through Yast2 for something, I'm not entirely sure, to do with Yast. The title was Yast2 Installation, or something similar. That's really fuzzy, it was an impulse update :) Anyway, Yast2's package manager ('Install or Remove Software') now doesn't start. If I type '/sbin/yast2 sw_single' in Konsole (using KDE, by the way. Don't know if that matters), I get the following output: Import 'Installation' failed Import 'Storage' failed Import 'BootCommon' failed Import 'Bootloader' failed Import 'Installation' failed Import 'Installation' failed Import 'Installation' failed No such client module sw_single Run 'yast2 -h' for help on usage I don't know where to start with this one. Can anyone offer any help on this one? Thanks in advance. -- -David House, dmhouse@gmail.com

In any case, you can boot from the installation media to update an existing system, then simply reinstall YaST. You will get a fresh installation of YaST. You can then do a YOU to update it to the current version if you want.
