hi all, i've tried to create a rescue/boot disk onto a floppy disk. what i did is, i open yast & choose system administration > kernel & boot configuration > create rescue disk. then a pop up window appeared with: Information =========== You have not yet chosen an installation medium. to proceed with the selected function this is essential. Pls select an installation medium with yast under "adjustments of installation > select installation media" that's what i did, then i selected "installation from hard drive partition" & choose /dev/hdc3 (where i booted from ) The message : Pls enter directory name of SUSE distribution on this partition.....which directory hold your suse distribution? =>This is where i got stuck, where is it? i've tried /etc/vmlinuz,/,/usr/ but it didn't work. pls help. how can i create a rescue disk from hard disk, i don't have my linux cd with me. p.s. i'm using suse 6.4,kernel2.2.14. thanks for all your help. cheers tk __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
