OpenSUSE has a very annoying "feature" where sometimes when I move the mouse, I see a bunch of little windows scattered around the screen. It there anyway to turn this off? tnx jk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

it's a plasma property. Look in the setup panel jdd -- http://dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Is that the "Zoom" function? I just turned it off. I also found some other "features" I probably want to turn off. tnx jk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Nor have I ever seen in on KDE3 -- and that predates the Novell deal. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
try this (assuming you mean the "Desktop Grid"): go into SystemSettings->DesktopBehaviour->ScreenEdges Below the title "Active Screen Corners and Edges", you see the image of a screen with 8 boxes inside. Click on every box and select "No Action" Am 24.06.19 um 16:04 schrieb James Knott:

No, that's not it. I see several thumbnail size screens scattered around the display. I found something called Zoom that looked like it might be it. I'll have to see if disabling it works. On 2019-06-24 01:45 PM, zb4ng wrote:

here it's in desktop effects, "présentation des fenêtres" (no idea of the english) - it's in the submenu "windows management" jdd

yes, systemsettings5 -> desktop behavior -> desktop effects -> windows management -> present windows (<ctrl><f10>) also, systemsettings5 -> screen edges (moving mouse position to one of the sensing screen locations it is a "quick" way to jump immediately to an application open on a different desktop w/o first changing to desktop containing app controllable by either/both settings. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
