[opensuse] Thinpad x61 brightness button disable
How do you activate the brightness buttons (Fn+Home/Fn+End) in the new Lenovo thinkpads? I have an X61. I have also an x40 and it works without doing anything. I use the tpb so I can get a visual display when I press the buttons. I installed the tpb in the x61 and I can get the visual display but it does not change the screen. If yo have any other tips to setup the tpb in the x-61 please tell me. Note: the only rpm installed is the <tpb> -=terry(Denver)=- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

same here... i am having a Thinkpad R61i. have installed Opensuse10.3. The brightness display controls(Fn+Home/Fn+End) are not working proper. Brightness decreases one level when i use Fn+End, but when i press Fn+Home it does not come back up one level. But in the tail - f /var/log/messages i am getting Thinkpad Acpi events both times. I have installed the Thinkpad acpi packages. Something is broken here? What video driver do you use? In case of the binary only NVIDIA driver, the update to 169.07 did fix the problem for my R61. Jan -- Defeat is never fatal unless you give up. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
