canon, gphoto2, libusb, suse 7.2, no luck
hello, world. yesterday i downloaded libusb from sourceforge and built it. then i downloaded gphoto2 and couldn't build it, so i got a tarball from gphoto.org and built that. then i plugged in my canon powershot g1 and the 'puter beeped happily, so i tried gphoto2 --list-ports and got a list of 24 serial ports, (by the way how do i get rid of the 22 bogus ones?), and no usb ports. checked /var/log/messages and found the following...
