Something killed Firefox & Thunderbird OpenSUSE 15.4 & KDE
Both Firefox & Thunderbird stopped working thing morning. I was using both all morning, but neither work now. I noticed there were 2 updates just before this happened. This affects both my desktop and notebook computers. Rebooting does not help. Here are the errors I get when I try starting from the command line: firefox ATTENTION: default value of option mesa_glthread overridden by environment. I'm also on openSUSE 15.4 + KDE, fully up-to-date, and both Firefox and Thunderbird are still fully functional here (thankfully). Can you post the output of "rpm -qa --last | head -10"? TIA Ph. I suspect the top two items are the suspects. Indeed, yes.
These two have not shown up yet on my laptop, which explains it. You can revert to the previous version of those packages using YaST - Software Management and selecting the "Version" tab. ...and I suppose it would be best to file a bug about this regression. That did the trick. I'm now replying on Linux. However, Firefox now complains about an older version of Firefox and wants me to create a new profile. Is there anyway to get past that, without a new profile? tnx jk
