Hi, seen the frequency of some questions (one for all: 'pppd daemon died unexpectedly'... ;), shouldn't be a good idea to make and maintain a page of 'SuSE Linux mailing list FAQ' where to put the solution to the most common problems of SuSE?? Does something similar exist? I don't think so. The guys asking should only look at that page and joy... If someone is interested, tell me. Eventually I volunteer to host and maintain it. Ok, when trying to unzip a tar.gz file I had downloaded I got the message: "Multipart or something not supported get a newer version."
Shouldn't the gzip on the SuSE 6.0 distro be farily new? Why on earth did I get that error. Well, I just gunzipped it at work and moved the tar file via my effective sneaker net. -- Paul Kenneth Egell-Johnsen Sales Support and System Development Metaphor Systems as -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>

In this day and age the only work such a mainter should have to do is cutting and pasting. I'm for a cgi/php/perl based faq solution. If someone has some good DB designs for a faq and the schemas and sqls for it then I would like to have a look at if for a possible php/web implementation. I've been looking at some DB designs myself but it's just this last week that my linux has been up to speed for some development, so it will take some time before I get around to code all my projects (diary, newspaper (as if there isn't enough such engines), faq, picture db), but turn around is really fast, I started on the diary this friday and allready have most of it done.
