I am looking to move my department's Oracle 8.1.7 server to SuSe Linux 7.2. Our server is a Gateway ALR 8200 with the AMI Enterprise 1400 RAID controller. We are running RAID level 1 (mirroring) in the following configuration: * Three logical disks composed of mirrored pairs of 8GB disks. * Two logical disks composed of mirrored pairs of 16GB disks. * Hot spair drive: One 16GB disk drive that automatically replaces any of the 10 drives in LD0-LD5 when they fail. This hardware setup is working fine for us with Windows NT 4.0. What I want to know is, does SuSe linux support the hardware configuration above? I only saw RedHat Linux drivers for the AMI Enterprise 1400-438 on the AMI.COM website. Has anybody used the AMI Enterprise 1400 on SuSe before? Anybody used the Gateway ALR 8200 with SuSe?
