[S.u.S.E. Linux] Nubie Yast Question:
Sorry for this question, but Im trying to learn the operation of Yast. Example: Say I download a program in rpm format (eg: KDE beta 3.1)and download it to a directory in /root/download. Can I use Yast to install and configure the program and if so how? Or must this be undertaken by hand? Currently I have installed several programs, netscape 3.0.4, Communicator 4.0.4, ezppp and StarOffice4.0. However all of these programs have been installed by hand so to speak with help from on line doumentation. Was wondering if Yast can be used to undertake this process instead. This is a stand alone system, running SuSE 5.1 TIA ch -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
