I am running SuSE 6.3 and have a HP 692C DeskJet printer. When I print, I get a staircase effect. I read the HOWTO on printing and understand it has to do with the line-feed and carriage return. I am fairly new to Linux and was wondering what the easiest way to correct this would be. Thanks in advance. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

best thing is to set up a printer via yast. Make sure apsfilter is installed. printing ascii would be "lpr -P ascii <printfile>" in that case.
