I forgot that I'd posted about this here but hadn't followed up - apparently the forums "service unavailable"/"bad gateway" issue was resolved this morning. There's still some work to be done on the forums server next week, I'm told, but that issue should have been cleared up now. If only one system is affected then delete cookies, clear cache and it should work. could be, but no. I simply do not have again the front page (was in cache) may be some problem with my ISP jdd -- http://www.dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

It could be the same caching problem on their side. It seems that caching everything on every place one can install cache (server side, ISP side, browser) is good only when everything is working fine. When not, you have stalled cached page somewhere that prevents you to access original. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Works OK from here, so it's not the site but something between you and the site that's the problem. Reporting a bug in bugzilla isn't going to really help much.... if so, sure. I'm completely lost on this problem. My friends do connect without problem, I could connect to openSUSE from an other computer in may own home, same network! and I can't connect to openSUSE from my computer, nor with openSUSE *nor with windows* and I work all the day with my online gallery, google, so it's not the net!! some kind of ghost? :-((( jdd -- http://www.dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Unless you're using a proxy (which is unlikely on a home network), good old traceroute may find out the bottleneck: $ traceroute -T -p 80 fr.opensuse.org Have a nice day, Berny -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
diagnostic, local, and local solution (thanks to Pascal Hambourq, one of my LUG gurus) it's an IPV6 problem. My ISP's box (Freebox, very common in France) allows IPV6 by default, openSUSE is also IPV6 enabled by default (see IPV6 adress in ifconfig) and it seems than my box uses a tunnel to do IPV6 with a MTU of 1480. For whatever reason, the openSUSE portal uses IUPV6 at some moment, so the first connection succeed (one can see "opensuse loading" or something like it, then stop. a small file is read, for example (smaller than the MTU): <http://fr.opensuse.org/extensions/FlaggedRevs/frontend/modules/img/1.png> to solve this I disabled the IPV6 on my box. But as Windows 7 seems to have the same problem, may be there is something to do on the server side? thanks all for your help jdd NB: I was thinking MTU problem was gone, obviously not :-( -- http://www.dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
