[opensuse] Whither the KDE3 Repository for 10.0?

Hi, Today I ran YaST Software Management for the first time in a few weeks. It failed to update one of my repositories: <http://software.opensuse.org/download/repositories/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.0> It gave a 404 error, so I used a browser to try to see what was up. As I stepped down from the root, <http://software.opensuse.org/>, through the directories in that URL, I found that when I added "repositories" I ended up back in "download." Then I noticed there's a KDE: directory there, so I figured one level was removed from the directory structure. And sure enough, if you just remove that segment of the URL I was using you get this: <http://software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.0> Which does appear to be a repository. However, when I configure this as an installation source, I get an alert saying: "There is no product information available at the given location ..." What should I use to access this repository? Thanks. Randall Schulz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I can't, but probably someone else can with this info: I have clicked on KDE:KDE3.repo in the directory you mention below, and it says: XML-Verarbeitungsfehler: Syntax-Fehler Adresse: chrome://mozapps/content/downloads/unknownContentType.xul Zeile Nr. 1, Spalte 1: meLiteral, true); ^ Which probably means that the XML syntax of that file is broken in line 1, column 1. It's not XML at all, good, bad or otherwise: -==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==- [KDE:KDE3] name=Latest KDE 3 environment for released SUSE distributions (SUSE_Linux_10.0) type=rpm-md baseurl=http://software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.0/ gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=http://download.opensuse.org/openSUSE-Build-Service.asc enabled=1 -==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==- Randall Schulz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

There is something different with it, though. In my Firefox, all .repo-files in software.opensuse.org/download/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.0 show as a red coloured folder, and when having clicked on them, a firefox window pops up with the error message as seen above. The red folder icon, by the way, shows up in konqueror as well. The behaviour of the mirror ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/KDE%3A/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.0/ is different. No red folders but small icons indicating a text file, and no error message but the text of the .repo-files being shown. Maybe someone else can help?
