SuSE 9.3 Nvidia Xorg 6.8.2 won't work...
Hej, Since upgrading to SuSE 9.3 , my X is totally broken. Symptoms: 1. System won't boot into graphical login (KDM) 2. X System can be started using xinit, and I can manually start Gnome but some applications (e.g. Yast2 YOU or Mythfrontend / setup screens) will crash X 3. KDE won't work at all. I have a shuttle SB75G2 with a Inno Nvidia FX5200 attached to a 1280x768 Sony screen. I have tried to get the latest Nvidia drivers, but notice no difference. In my logs I find the following, (II) LoadModule: "fb" (II) Loading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libfb.a (II) Skipping "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libfb.a:fbmmx.o": object file contains no symbols (II) Module fb: vendor="X.Org Foundation" compiled for 6.8.2, module version = 1.0.0 ABI class: X.Org ANSI C Emulation, version 0.2 I found other posts that show this in relation to problems with X.
