Another reason, Suse is held back, is that Yast is not fully GPL'ed ; whereas all of Redhat is. Corporate lawyers are very tuned into these little things.
I missed that - the readme and copyright discuss redistribution, but I didn't see any unreasonable restrictions (If you distribute yast, keep the copyright statements intact).
Well I may not be right about this. I posted this question a couple of weeks ago, and Fred Miller, said that you can put Suse on as many of your machines as you want, from the original disk set. The problem may come when you want to make copies and hand them out to friends. I don't believe Suse allows that, while Redhat does. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
