I have been trying to get my printer to work for some time now. I run an AMD64 with opensuse 10.1 and an Cannon LBP1120. I have loaded all the latest cannon software CUPS 1,2,4 I have lp usblp usbcore.c loaded (my usb scanner, keyboard and Key work) but the printer does not. Lpstat gives me this lpstat -t scheduler is running system default destination: captusbprinter_1 device for captusbprinter_1: usb:/dev/usb/lp0 captusbprinter_1 accepting requests since Sat Sep 23 17:53:19 2006 printer captusbprinter_1 now printing captusbprinter_1-12. enabled since Sat Sep 23 17:53:19 2006 Printer not connected; will retry in 30 seconds... captusbprinter_1-12 greg 88064 Sat Sep 23 13:02:25 2006 Yast says everything is fine but if I try to edit the connection I get this No USB Devices (/dev/usb/lp?) found. It seems that your USB bus is not properly configured So I tried to test the usb configuration and got this Output from usb tester test.sh (found on linux-usb.org) linux-greg:/home/greg/Desktop # sh test.sh testing ALL recognized usbtest devices TESTING: control out in Sat Sep 23 18:11:21 CST 2006 ** Control test cases: test 9: ch9 postconfig FAIL and Extracts from cat /proc/bus/usb/devices, lsusb, dmesg and cups error log are below the printer works and I have ensured that everything has the right permisions Can anyone help me Greg extract of cat /proc/bus/usb/devices T: Bus=02 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=07 Cnt=03 Dev#= 4 Spd=12 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=04a9 ProdID=262b Rev= 1.00 S: Manufacturer=Canon S: Product=Canon CAPT USB Printer S: SerialNumber=01460NZv C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=c0 MxPwr= 0mA I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 2 Cls=07(print) Sub=01 Prot=02 Driver=usblp E: Ad=01(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms E: Ad=82(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms lsusb Bus 002 Device 004: ID 04a9:262b Canon, Inc.
