After compiling and installing the kernel on the pc here, the wireless adapter would not work. A good HOWTO can be found at this site : http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net/howto/howto-4.html Do not use the latest drivers but download and compile the snapshot dated 20021209. Compiling the latest drivers did not activate the adapter. However, downloading and compiling the snapshot dated 20021209 worked first time here. The pc spec is : Athlon 2800 XP, Nvidia Gforce4, 512MB ram, running SuSE 8.2. Using checkinstall, an rpm of the package has been prepared.
