[SuSE Linux] KDE Question
If, on the KDE desktop, you right click, you get a menu. Suppose from this menu you select 'Execute command'. You get a command line. Is there a clever way to call functions from this command line? How about execute aliases? (For what it's worth most of the functions, as well as the aliases, are in my ~/.bashrc.) -bob- ---------------------------------- E-Mail: bob gordon <bob100@ibm.net> Date: 30-Dec-98 Time: 16:11:28 This message was sent by XFMail ---------------------------------- - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>

You can enter any command at the minicli prompt that you can enter at a regular command line... it's just a one-shot command line
.... thing. Aliases
should work fine. You won't see the output of the command unless you look at the console or it affects the X display, however.
BTW, you can get that command line popup box to appear using just 'alt-f2'.
Is there a way to manipulate (e.g., preload) the command history buffer for minicli? -- Ken Irving -- jkirving@mosquitonet.com Trident Software -- <A HREF="http://www.mosquitonet.com/~jkirving/trident</A">http://www.mosquitonet.com/~jkirving/trident</A> - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>
