Here's the scenario: I have a Linux Workstation, and I want to be able to see files on an NT server. I want to be able to move around the directory structure much like I would in native linux, and edit files etc without having to copy them to and fro. Is this possible with Samba? Or do I need NFS? If you have smbfs support in you kernel (standard SuSE kernel does), then you can just type: mount -t smbfs //nt_server/sharename /make/surethisfolderexists Depending on your mode of authentication, enter the appropriate password and you should be fine!
