I have some old systems that I intend to swap around parts and eliminate a lot of the old pc's (p133's 32mb). I have a file server, that I may turn into my backup server, but I am building a music server out of some of my parts. I haven't decided yet wether to put a dvd drive in it (make it a mythbox) or just a cd drive (for ripping and playing), but my prefered two players are Juk, and Xmms. As this will be in another room, hooked to the stereo, but without a moniter, I was wondering about running x remotely. Does it take less memory to remotely operate X? Does X have to run to run these (dependencies) or can I move the order of the songs on these by the command line somehow? Thanks
