Hi all,
Does anyone know of a program like Ebay's turbo-lister that works on Linux?
Out of curiosity, I wrote Ebay and asked them:
Message: I was trying to install Turbo Lister. It came up with a file that ended in an exe extension. Isn't that Windows? I am using SUSE Linux 10.1 and need the version for Linux. Where can I get this?
I was told first that they don't have a Mac version. When I clarified that I was running Linux, I was told,
I'm sorry but we do not have a linux compatible version either. Our turbo lister works only with windows NT operating systems.
It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing eBay.
I asked them again, when they would have a Linux version available. -- kai www.perfectreign.com || www.4thedadz.com a turn signal is a statement, not a request --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

the response you got, was technically polite and correct. however, you just out and demanded the linux version, thus demanding that they immediatly sit down and get to work on it (and/or divuldge why the hell its not already published download). realistically, based on the way you worded your request, the typed response was polite and politicaly correct, but i guarantee you they said "whatever, up yours" as they hit send. asking if one exists, or if one is currently under development, or even under consideration would have been much more appropriate. jonathan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Oh, they were polite, allright. I just thought it funny that they replied about the Mac version. Actually I don't ask if one exists. I make the assumption that they have one and ask where I can get it. I suppose it is less polite, but then that never stopped me before. :P -- kai www.perfectreign.com || www.4thedadz.com a turn signal is a statement, not a request --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Hi folks, I'm currently working on an auction platform, which will be able to run external auctions (ie. on ebay). For this platform you may get bot interfaces for all kind of jobs. But it will take some time. cu -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- Enrico Weigelt == metux IT service phone: +49 36207 519931 www: http://www.metux.de/ fax: +49 36207 519932 email: contact@metux.de cellphone: +49 174 7066481 --------------------------------------------------------------------- -- DSL ab 0 Euro. -- statische IP -- UUCP -- Hosting -- Webshops -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

:-) The low level support (tier 1) have no answer to that question. It happend the same when I asked HP about software switch that is activating wireless transmitter in a notebook.

Better find some other support option, like eBay CTO's unpublished email. The official one will probably direct you back to "support". Apropos, "a turn signal is a statement, not a request" Even if it is request, it has to granted first ;-) -- Regards, Rajko M.
