Hi, I have configured sendmail and, apparently, everything is fine as sending mail is concerned. That's I open pine, say, compose a message and get it delivered (everywhere). Now, using pine I am not able to check mail. For example, I send a message to my ISP account (anovo@y2knet.net) w/ pine, and pine does not accuse reception (even forcing checking ctrl+i), but if I use Kmail to check my account, it's there. (note: In pine I have SMTP = y2knet.net ) I followed 6.1 manual instruction to setup sendmail, but I must be missing a "big picture". What am I missing? Sending and receiving mail are two different stories. I assume you are using a POP3 account on y2knet.net? Well, Pine cannot receive mail via POP. You need to run fetchmail to do this. If your ISP supports IMAP, you can use Pine for accessing your mail boxes. Have you set up Pine to access a POP account? It's not glaringly obvious. Otherwise you need to use fetchmail to grab your mail from the POP server and hand it to your local sendmail.
