JLT> That's interesting. What replaces it? I apologise for the misleading way I wrote this. I meant that as far as the python is concerned, there is no longer a need for update-alternatives. The update-alternatives are very useful and I use them a lot for gcc, java, etc. As you probably know, many of them are automatically registered with update-alternatives when they are installed.
