[opensuse] Alias doesn't save new aliases?
I created a new alias for killing my firefox in the background (due to troubleshooting problems mentioned in another article.) Strange thing though. It doesn't seem to save the alias when I exit the session. The new alias is: alias psff='ps aux | grep firefox' It works fine as long as I stay in session. But if I create it under SU, and exit SU, the alias is gone. If I go back into SU, the alias is still gone. Same thing, if I create it under regular user and exit Gnome Terminal, it is gone when I go back into terminal. This is 10.3. My aliases were always preserved in 9.3. Is anyone else having this problem? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have never seen an alias being preserved automatically Normal procedure is to put your aliases in the file .alias in your home directory -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
