Hello Everyone: I just bought a copy of SuSE 4.4.1. and after a successful initial install <grin>, i still have the same problem that i have under Slackware: I cannot connect to my isp. Under Win95, i can't even connect using hyper terminal (the wife uses Wank95, on a hd all her own). After contacting netspaceonline, they told me that they are using pap (i assume it's server initiated, not command oriented). I can't get minicom to do anything, and i am so new to linux in general, that i don't know of another client to use for connection. I have access to a company that i KNOW uses Linux, but they haven't given me any information as to when i can join them, and netspaceonline is refusing to help, or so it seems. I hate windows, but must use it to even get my email. Any suggestions? jim seiberling -- Linux RULES, windoze Drools!!!!
The easiest I know for for PPP connectivity with or without PAP/CHAP is XISP. Get it from <A HREF="http://users.hol.gr/~dbouras/"><A HREF="http://users.hol.gr/~dbouras/</A">http://users.hol.gr/~dbouras/ For your ISP just click on the PAP button. -Dee W.D.McKinney (Dee) -=- deem@wdm.com No claim to fame, just saved by Grace. -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
