hello, I have friends used to have outlook (and I beg exchange) and that want's to take rid of it. they try at first to use open products on windows. As they don't find any such thing for groupware (opensource and windows- are there any?), they search a web server based one I understand this is partly OT, however it could run on a suse server :-) do you know of any such application good for associative use and easy to configure? There are many listed, but they can't configure them the way they want (I beg like outlook) do you run such thing? any link? thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/mediawiki/index.php/GPS_Lowrance_GO -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

do you run such thing? no...
any link? First thing I would check Kolab http://www.kolab.org which gives you the chance to integrate with KDE seamlessly and is a cool project.

If you'd like to see the suggested web-client for kolab - Horde Imp Webmail (http://horde.org) - running live, you can try demo-access here: http://lunabox.de -> login at the left side, username is "demo", password can be taken from the picture at the middle of the site (changes every 30 minutes). -- MfG, David Mayr =========================== LunaBOX Network Solutions =========================== Haubensteigweg 55 D-87439 Kempten TelNr: 0831-5124808 FaxNr: 0831-5124809 Mobil: 0172-8673184 www.lunabox.de info@lunabox.de ================== -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Take a look at egroupware.org Egroupware is an actively developed, very mature, php/mysql groupware implementation. Setup takes a little getting used to, but once done egroupware is a robust group calendaring/email/document management/project management system with ACL implementation. I can vouch for it.... -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E. When I was looking for an Exchange/Outlook replacement I looked at Scalix, Zimbra, OpenXchange, and Kolab. I ended up using Scalix community edition. It fit my needs well and let my wife keep her M$ client. ----- Original Message ----- From: jdd Sent: Mon, 11/20/2006 11:22 To: opensuse@opensuse.org Subject: [opensuse] web groupware hello, I have friends used to have outlook (and I beg exchange) and that want's to take rid of it. they try at first to use open products on windows.
