Anybody know of a SuSE version of KFish? I was wondering if I could compile it from: http://packages.debian.org/stable/source/kfish, but it needs debhelper which in turn leads to a dependency tree... -- (o- Penguin #395953 lives at http://samvit.org //\ subsisting on ancient Indian wisdom ... If you are sure this is the same as the aquarium described at http://extragear.kde.org/apps/kfish/ as: KFish is a KDE panel applet that makes an aquarium with cute animated effects appear in your panel. You can choose which one of several different fish will swim past. then I get: An error occurred while loading fish://xxx: Could not connect to host xxx. -- (o- Penguin #395953 lives at http://samvit.org //\ subsisting on ancient Indian wisdom ... I found an RPM that appears to have a dependency on libpng.so.2, which I had in my 9.1 installation (I kept the root partition around when I upgraded) but not in 9.3. I skipped 9.2, so I don't know which libpng.so it includes. I tried bringing over the libpng.so.2 from my 9.1 installation, but that only allowed KFish to move on to the next failure, the inability to resolve the symbol __ti12KAboutDialog. Perhaps this KFish is not compatible with KDE 3.4.2. If you're interested in checking it out, you can find SuSE RPMs on SourceForge at <http://sourceforge.net/projects/rpmsforsuse/>. Randall Schulz

It never hurts to read the instructions, eh? From the "rpmsforsuse" page: "RPMs of various open source applications for the SuSE 7.X and 8.0 distribution. Here you\'ll find RPMs for KDE 3.0 / 3.1 and dependence package. Some RPM\'s are optimized for AMD K6." I also note that there's nothing there with a date later than 2003.
