Hi, Am running 9.1 on Dell Inspiron 8500. Recently the machine seems to have developed a mouse creep. Oddly the mouse only seems to creep when eg holding down an alt or a ctrl key, or ocassionaly it will creep when using the keyboard. Sometimes it will stop at the edge of the currently active window and at other times creep to edge of screen. ANy thoughts as to weather this is a software or a hardware problem TIA F

Is is consistent? Optical or mechanical mouse? My old mech mouse did that before it died on me. Try cleaning it if it is a mechhie.. Optical? Dunno, might be hardware.. Tried another mouse? -- /Rikard " Sharing knowledge is the most fundamental act of friendship. Because it is a way you can give something without loosing something." -R. Trackpad on Dell notebook ( sorry should have made that more clear in the initial posting ). Seems to be inconsistant. Am beginning to wonder weather it may be temperature related as subjectively the machine feels warmer.

Sounds like probable hardware problems. If you got a warranty or service deal with DELL, I'd recommend that you exchange the pad for a new one. -- /Rikard " Sharing knowledge is the most fundamental act of friendship.
