I'm trying out KVpnc as an alternative to the Cisco vpnclient application. when I try to run it I get an issue with the group password. My company has a Cisco VPN with a RSA SecureID token generator. I then have a PIN that I enter with the token to access my VPN. I use the Cisco VPN client on Wintendo and the vpnclient on *nix. with KVpnc I haave the "allow empty group password (insecure)" option checked under Profile > Connection Specific > Cisco. As far as I know, I have no group password. I do have a .pcf file, which I imported. When I try to connect, the group password field is to be left blank. However the application requires me still to fill out something. I have kvpnc 0.8.6.1 under KDE 3.5.5 on 10.2. Have you tried the software that Cisco provides for linux? It's been a couple of years since I needed to use it (retired) but it worked quite well at the time. I'm they have improved it since then. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
