Apart from that it's broken on 7.0, iBCS is used to run non-Linux binaries (e.g. SCO Unix) on Linux. IIRC, iBCS means "Intel binary compatibility standard". This was nice in former times - people were actually running Oracle (or was it Informix?) for SCO on Linux way before there was a Linux port. Onthe more funny side: There is now a linux binary emulator to run linux binarys on SCO or something... How times change. ;-) Juergen
