It was me, I admit it :-) It was a bit of fall-out after the recent datacenter move, see https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/151996 -- Per Jessen, Zürich (-0.4°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes

Is there a gui type mail reader that I can use to open the /var/spool/mail/bill file? Running Leap 15.5 and KDE.

GUI, no. Thunderbird can be coached to, intermediating with dovecot. plain "mail" can do directly. So can alpine, and mutt, I assume. if you just want a peep, use "less". -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from openSUSE 15.5 (Laicolasse))

There is a Thunderbird fork named "Betterbird", it is supposed to still have the option for a Unix mail spool account. (which TB has lost). -- Per Jessen, Zürich (4.9°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes
