I have another idea. With NT4.0 why not blow away Win95? It is just a piece of crap OS that serves no purpose than to make your life misearble.
ROTFL! However, I have found that Win95 and NT run a couple of "mission critical apps" for me. I can only run Jane's 688 Submarine simulator under 95, and it doesn't work under NT. NT Workstation - I found a great use for it as a Conference Room IRC chat server. It's much easier than setting up ircd on *nix. It works great with any IRC client (Zircon, Bitchx, ircii, mIRC, Pirch, kirc) and even includes a java client for web browser type chatting, stripped down but nevertheless quite functional. So the winblows environment is great for toys. When I want to do serious computing, let there be Linux. When the irc clients get better in Linux, (like Pirch) and when I can run a chat server without a lot of grief, then I won't need NT for anything. Now if we can just get Jane's to port to Linux ... -tks- -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
