As sound is important to me, I asked the OSS folks this morning and here's the reply below. (OSS costs a measly $20.00 and it's well worth it to get the commercial version. For my AWE64 Gold it draws the best out.)

Greetings,
Does the commercial version of OSS for Linux support the Ensoniq 32 PCI sound card ? Thanks again,
Hi, OSS supports the Ensoniq AudioPCI as well as the Creative Sound Blaster PCI/64 but I'm not sure what is Ensoniq 32PCI. In order to run the AudioPCI drivers you will have to get a license upgrade with the AudioPCI option. Or you can test is by installing the 7 day trial version which has all the options enabled. best regards tech support -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- 4Front Technologies 4035 Lafayette Place, Unit F, Culver City, CA 90232, USA. I've been wanting to get my soundcard working, so I tried using the pnpdump command. It didn't find anything, so even if i were to go into windoze and write down all the settings and make/compile a new kernel, would it stand much of a chance of working?
