well you didn't look correctly. it gives a list of packages with their contents. hey I asked for a database backend with search capability but nobody on this list seems to think we need this. I think we are the only two who ever look for stuff and what packages they came from. I know Michael said something about some doc package but I just want something on the web. its so much simpler.

Thank you for your reply but it doesn't answer to my question at all. The link you give compares the personal version with the other ones. I also checked the links in the surroundings and coudn't find a page telling me in what package a program is, only the opposite information is there.

Any other suggestion?

Hi!

When I want to install something.rpm, it tells me that dependencies are not satisfied and that I should install the program xyz. Now, in yast, I find the name of the packages but not the names of the programs contained in them. If a text search doesn't help, how do I know in which package the needed program is?
