Re: [SLE] GTK > 1.2.1?
I tried rpm -Uvh the first try and it said "already installed". I so no other choice but force. The config.log shows the same errors as before. On Wednesday 27 November 2002 08:10 pm, you wrote:

I moved the current gtk-config to gtk-config.old (just to keep it until this is resolved). Reinstalled gtk-devel using rpm -Uvh --force and a new gtk-config did not show up. I then reinstalled gtk using rpm -Uvh --force and did get gtk-config back....But the error is still there. My system will *not* see gtk. I am really lost.
1) Never, ever, ever use --force
2) Using the proper gtk-config, what errors are you getting in config.log?

Is there a config.cache in the directory where you're compiling? If so, remove it and try again. If it still fails with the same error, check /usr/bin/gtk-config and look at line 94. It should say echo -I${prefix}/include/gtk-1.2 $glib_cflags -I/usr/X11R6/include
It does not have a config.conf. I even tried deleting the source, and unpack the tar again, and rerun it. Still no luck. On Thursday 28 November 2002 07:25 am, Anders Johansson wrote:
