[SLE] Symbolic Links .. naming convention
Hi all, On what basis are Symlinks under the rc2.d, rc3.d directory named ? Eg why should a link be name S91mysql or K20firewall , S20firewall .. Whats the logic behind the naming convention ? This is why there is a S and K link for each service. The number is for the order of booting or shutting down. S is for Start, K is for Kill and the numbers are what order the services should be started (since some services require other services before they can start). ee: man init.d david. -- what if a lean wind yanks immortal stars awry? -- e.e.cummings in a blender -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
