[opensuse] Leap 15.0 after zypper dup from 42.3 - usb mouse just dies?
All, Has anyone had a problem with a usb mouse just quitting? I have had this happen twice in the past hour. It's a simple standard MS 3-button mouse. Suddenly the lights just go out and it's dead. (touchpad still works) Restart and the mouse is back. This has never happened before. Has anybody seen anything similar? Checking the log I see: Nov 04 20:37:07 wizard kernel: usb 2-2: USB disconnect, device number 2 Nov 04 20:37:07 wizard kernel: usb 2-2: new low-speed USB device number 3 using xhci_hcd Nov 04 20:37:08 wizard kernel: usb 2-2: device descriptor read/64, error -71 Nov 04 20:37:08 wizard kernel: usb 2-2: device descriptor read/64, error -71 Nov 04 20:37:08 wizard kernel: usb 2-2: new low-speed USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Nov 04 20:37:08 wizard kernel: usb 2-2: device descriptor read/64, error -71 Nov 04 20:37:08 wizard kernel: usb 2-2: device descriptor read/64, error -71 Nov 04 20:37:08 wizard kernel: usb usb2-port2: attempt power cycle Nov 04 20:37:09 wizard kernel: usb 2-2: new low-speed USB device number 5 using xhci_hcd Nov 04 20:37:09 wizard kernel: usb 2-2: Device not responding to setup address. Try another usb socket. Better if it is usb2. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)
