Re: [SLE] file modifications on 8.0
No not trying to change root files as user. Trying to change root files as superuser root. System doesn't want a superuser is my impression... yast wants to be superuser. who am I I have been wondering for about 5 days as i tinker with this thing... and get absolutely nothing done... imagine I got a worm in there... and yast complied... what a disaster... * Mads Martin Joergensen <mmj@suse.de> [09-29-02 10:40]:

Nice idea but access.conf is not accessible through /etc/sysconfig.
niether are lots of other important files. Am I suppose to put them in there or something? how?
No, not if there's no config entry there, they should stay in /etc. But then i really don't get why the system does not notice you changed them. Could you give an example of such a change?
