Crappy way to do it, but you could press <ctrl> and right click the window which will present you with some font size selections. Or you could modify the actual kdelnk file that launches xterm and change the following line,
I am allready lost here. What is the name and path of the file ?
Exec=xterm -ls to Exec=xterm -fn <fontname> -ls
No I want to set it to use a biger , bold type every time I open a term window , but dont know what/which file to edit and config.
The following would have to be modified for KDE to recognize it
/usr/local/kde/applnk/SuSE/workpopup/xterm.kdelnk /usr/local/kde/apps/kappfinder/apps/Utilities/xterm.kdelnk
To globally take care of it, you would have to modify the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults/XTerm & XTerm-color files which would control all invocations of symply 'xterm' of course command line options will overide those two files.
Ah ha , this I will try .
I actually use the following in a shortcut from my desktop
You mean you set up an "icon" to bring up a customized term window ? Right ? So you would need more than one if you use more than one window ? Rifght , or will clicking on it open up more ??
xterm -bg black -fg grey100 -fn 7x14 -sl 1000 -vb
Anyway, best of luck
Thanks , this looks like what I needed. Will try it out after going throgh the rest of my mail.
