Hi all, Is there a way I can put a password for bootup, the way I put a password in lilo.conf? I want the extra security it provides. Default bootloader being grub. Lilo not on this machine. -- Rohit ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- +9122 5692 2108 G9,Floor-1,Chandivali : SDE : TLSI : 9821394599@bplmobile.com The note below, if any, is compulsorily added for non-mahindrabt recipients. ********************************************************* Disclaimer This message (including any attachments) contains confidential information intended for a specific individual and purpose, and is protected by law. At the top of the menu.lst file in /boot/grub, put: password thepasswordyouwant Or you can put the password command in any section you wish so that boot option requires a password. Putting the password disables the graphic grub by the way. For use of non-plain text password in the config file check out the grub web site. Greg Engel
