Several cards are tossed in under the RV250 name. Which actual card or notebook chipset is it? Some of the Mobility Radeon X1300 cards or higher seem to have driver issues. Did you do the auto install or compile for the kernel option? I assume that you are using the proprietary driver that does not ship with 10.1. The proprietary driver did ship with 10.0. If you are not using the proprietary driver from ATI that is most likely the problem.
Thanks again for the response. I've compiled and installed the 8.26.18 version of the x86 ATI radeon driver using the .run script from ATI's website. After a reboot, I ran the 'aticonfig --initial' command. At no point were any errors encountered. Following this, however; when I run fgl_glxgears, I get a screenfull of fglrx errors like these: [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for GetHandleARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for DetachObjectARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for CreateShaderObjectARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for ShaderSourceARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for CompileShaderARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for CreateProgramObjectARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for AttachObjectARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for LinkProgramARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for UseProgramObjectARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for ValidateProgramARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for Uniform1fARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for Uniform2fARB [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for Uniform3fARB What did I do wrong? aTdHvAaNnKcSe -- JAY VOLLMER JVOLLMER@VISI.COM TEXT REFS DOUBLEPLUSUNGOOD SELFTHINK VERGING CRIMETHINK - IGNORE FULLWISE -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
You have to reinstall the Mesa libraries, then reinstall the fglrxxxxx.rpm that you created, the run the fglrx-kernel-build.sh script and finally restart the X server. On Friday 30 June 2006 13:53, Jay C Vollmer wrote:
