I am running SuSE 6.4 on a pentium host. Everything looks great.

I am using an old IBM RISC/6000 to X over remotely to the pentium host as an X-terminal.

On the terminal - I have the following problems when connected to the host. None of these problems exist when logged into the host locally:

1. Netscape crashes regularly. 2. StarOffice is buggy - for example the formula editors symbols are all garbled. 3. gifs and jpgs are washed out in color. Graphics are poor in general. 4. other programs crash regularly.

Again, everything is great when logged into the host directly. Even the fonts in the formula editor in Office. The problems come about only during the remote login. xfs configured poorly?

How do I fix this? (Or more likely - the several problems.)

One other twist that may be a clue. Rasmol works _remotely_ - but not locally!
