Hello all: Once when I used debian linux I could read all documentation in any web browser. In my favorite web-browser I could read man pages, info documents, even browse the installed packages. This thing - as I remember - based on a package called dwww and a few others. Is there a similar thing in suse? (except of the KDE help center) Thanks, IG ___________________________________________________________________ Vásárold meg Gnarls Barkely legújabb albumát a T-Online Zeneáruházban és nyerj exkluzív jegyet az augusztus 31-i koncertre! http://zenearuhaz.t-online.hu

There's a similar feature in Konqueror (without the help center): Tap Alt-F2 to get the "run" dialog, then enter, e.g., one of the following: man:wget man:init info:bash info:make -- ----- stephan@s11n.net http://s11n.net "...pleasure is a grace and is not obedient to the commands of the will." -- Alan W. Dunno about your favorite browser...you're using Opera, right?? :) If you use Konqueror (and probably the gnome thing) you can read man files by using the man:// command. I dunno about info pages, because I haven't seen them. HTH! -- Kai Ponte www.perfectreign.com www.4thedadz.com

In konqueror url bar or the alt-F2 commandline window type: #SUBJECT for the man page or ##SUBJECT for the info page. Like frinstance: ##latex Regards, -- Jos van Kan registered Linux user #152704

Thank you and the others for the help. I was aware of this method and it's a cool thing. I wish it could be used in other browsers too.
